We analyzed 14 home theater companies across Utah to see who’s effectively generating leads online — and how they’re doing it. What we found was clear: even the top performers are overlooking major opportunities in digital advertising and social media.

Key Findings
Out of all 14 businesses, only one — TYM Smart Homes & Theaters (@smarthomebrothers) — had a noticeable Instagram presence.
In terms of paid advertising, just two companies (Utah Audio and Ratio AV) had active Meta ads, and both were running only a single ad. Compare this with JellyFish Lighting, a permanent holiday lighting company in Utah, which currently has over 200 active ads in the Meta Ads Library.
The few ads we did find were rather basic: one was a carousel ad, and the other was a 2-second video ad.
This reveals a major opportunity. Competition in social media and digital advertising among home theater companies in Utah is very low — despite the fact that this niche is highly visual and well-suited for compelling video content.
There’s no strategic reason for this underutilization. In fact, visual marketing has already proven to be highly effective in this industry. For example:
TYM has published several videos with millions of views
LDA XIX (@ldaxix), a home theater LED brand, has a simple Instagram video with over 100 million views
Even TYM, one of the most visible players in Utah, is far from maximizing their potential on Reels and TikTok. Their content is mostly polished, demonstrative videos — but doesn’t yet tap into trend-based or virality-focused formats.
Next, we’ll briefly review what some of Utah’s top home theater companies are currently doing — and then compare them to standout examples nationwide that are making far more of today’s digital platforms.

Meta Ads

Not only are these posts outdated (over a year old), they also have major flaws:
Horizontal videos are not suitable for reels
Two of these are simply boring slide shows
They have no engaging quality
They have no hooks

Similar to the previous case the weaknesses are:
Wrong aspect ratio for reels (the 2nd video)
Boring videos with no engaging quality
No hooks

While TYM has produced some strong Reels, these ones fall short. Here’s why:
Only one video attempts to use a hook — and even that is executed weakly.
The filming and editing lack creativity and energy.
Slow pace, not much is happening.
Examples Worth Following
Now let’s take a look at some standout companies in this space from across the country. We’ll start by examining how they approach paid advertising, then shift to what others are doing well on social media.
Paid Ads
Let’s take a look at some Meta ads from companies around the U.S. — examining the formats they’re using and why they work. Some of these ads are high-quality and costly to create, while others are simple and inexpensive — yet each is effective in its own way.

Instagram Reels
Let’s take a look at two simple but highly successful Instagram Reels — proof that with the right approach, social media can drive real attention and leads. In a market like Utah, where almost no one is doing this well, the opportunity is wide open.

Conclusion
The truth is, home theater companies don’t need to reinvent the wheel — just use the right visuals, a strong hook, and stay consistently visible to potential customers. Those who adapt now will be the ones who thrive when the market tightens or the economy slows.
